The president of the United States of America sent his congratulatory message to the president elect William Ruto. In a press address by the White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, the Kenyan people are applauded for maintaining peace throughout the electioneering period. Moreover, all the presidential candidates are well appreciated for respecting and abiding by the rule of the Supreme Court of Kenya.
"We congratulate William Ruto on his election as the president of Kenya. We also congratulate the people of Kenya on the conclusion of a peaceful electoral process. We commend Raila Odinga and other candidates for abiding by the Supreme Court filing, transparent electoral process and the peaceful adjudication of disputes",Karine Jean-Pierre White House Press Secretary said.
The United States also acknowledged of its strong and great partnership with Kenya based on democracy, security ad economic prosperity. They also stated that they are longing to enhance this partnership with President Ruto and the new government.
