Risper Faith Accused of Photo-shopping her Face on US based Digital Content Creator

The pressure that social media is putting on us as the 'kawaida mwananchi' is immense. Trying to be something you are not is taking the day each day. If you and I are not well informed, we might fall in the trap of hating  and undermining ourselves without knowing most people are living a lie out her. Well, Risper Faith who is a Kenya celebrity has been accused and is currently on the spotlight for photo-shopping her facial structure on a photo of the US based curvy digital content creator who goes by the name Ms. Kristine. In the year 2016, Kristine uploaded a perectly shot picture of herself in a black skirt and top that was neatly tucked into the skirt. To add some spice, the whole outfit was groomed by a shade of green coat which perfectly perfected the look. Risper, however took the exact picture, did some editing including darkening the black skirt and top and literally photo-shopped her face into the Kristine's picture retaining all her jewelry! This could not go un...

My First Encounter with Cowards (Part II)

As promised, we continue from where we left.  We are cooking and we have both agreed that the bin has to emptied downstairs by either of us. According to our arrangements, one of us would make ugali and stew would be made by the other party. For some reason, between my friend and I, I'm trusted to make better ugali. I don't know how true that is but she tells me this all the time. So, I believe I make some good ugali . This is however limited to 1-4 people. Making huge meals can be tricky and mostly I miss out. We are done cooking, we serve and get ready to enjoy our sumptuous meal. According to my culture, we eat ugali with our hands; no spoons or forks. Let take you through this process. We wash our hands, get the stew plate close and then pick the ugali from a common tray or whatever surface that has been used to hold this delicacy. You then pinch small balls ( according to how much your mouth can hold at a go) from the big white piece laying on or beside your stew on the sa...

Wycliffe Oparanya endorses Cleophas Malala, Claims his Account was Hacked

Wycliffe Oparanya, the current Kakamega Governor, has endorsed Cleophas Malala, a UDA candidate to take over after him.  To be precise, Kakamega and Mombasa counties are holding their gubernatorial elections today after a mishap on 9th August. This post is critical because residents of the said counties are voting today and such an influence would really play a big role on increasing the votes to either major candidates. Earlier Monday morning, the incumbent through his Facebook page created a post which had Malala's picture and had a hash-tagged caption as follows; "VoteCleophasWakhunguMalalah". This has created a lot emotions and has criticized how a big supporter of Azimio La Umoja would actually support their strong competitor. To his defense, Mr. Oparanya took to his Twitter page to address the issue that had spread like bush fire and had gained great popularity. He claimed that the public should note and note carefully that his Facebook page had been hacked and the...

My First Encounter with Cowards

The year is 2017 (refer Abel Mutua's videos). I had just completed campus after four years of being housed within campus. The life outside hostel while in Nairobi was new and an exciting affair. No sharing of washrooms and one can cook all that you want according to your capabilities. I however was missing one thing: Free electricity and water. Like we paid approximately six thousand Kenya Shillings the whole year which translated to about eight months. Life without bills was really nice I must say. Three months after completion, I was able to secure a placement but I was required to move from Nairobi to the Lake Regions for this assignment. It really took a lot of time to convince myself that I would really move to a new place, where I had never visited before and barely knew anyone apart from my friends from school who came from the said region. Before I got this assignment, I didn't live alone. You know after campus the expected graduates have little or even nothing and majo...
